Hello from BG! I've been here since Sunday, although I've been so busy it doesn't seem like I've been here for nearly a week... Tonight was really my first night staying home. I am leaving at 9:00, but I haven't gone anywhere today, and it's been wonderful!

Christmas was good. My family ventured to the megaopolis known as Pemberville. We ate a ton of food, and played quite the spirited game of Catch Phrase. My cousins were even halfway civil towards me. There was snow on the ground, and the air was actually pretty cold...it was a pretty good day. No fun stories though, nothing even close to unusual or amusing happened. So sad...

A week from tomorrow I will have to get back on a plane and return to Leavenworth...my sentence isn't over..ha ha... My flight here reminded me of the fact that I hate being stuck in the hollow metal tube with wings flying through the sky. But I really do prefer it to the train, the trip is so much shorter. I'm just hoping that getting through security won't be unbearable during my trip back. I understand completely, the reason they have to do all the security stuff, I just wish there was a faster more efficient system. I was very lucky on the way here because I got to the airport early enough to not have to stand in line. It wasn't bad at all, but fifteen minutes later the line was practically out the door and on the curb. Why can't world dominators as wonderful as me just get full security clearance...it would make sense to me!

If I cough one more time I am performing a lung transplant right in my bedroom. I don't know where I'm going to get the new lungs, but I will find them....somewhere, somehow...they're out there.

So do you think I've overdone it on the quizzes lately? I just didn't feel like typing I guess. So I use my lifeless Friday night to do it. What else is new? At least tomorrow I'm getting out for awhile, and then Sunday I'm jumping on a plane bound for Detroit and then Toledo where my Christmas festivities will begin! Woo hoo! I have way too much to do between now and then, but I'm not very motivated at the moment.

That's it! I need a scalpel! Cut me open now, I'm ready to give them up!

Brrr! You're a WINTER STORM.
You get very quiet when you're angry.
Most people would call you heartless and cold,
but that's only because you don't tell them what's

You're Poland!

People tend to think you're stupid and you were probably voted
Least Likely to Succeed by your high school class.  These people are mostly
stupid themselves, and are just judging their opinion of you on your ability
to defend yourself, which is admittedly pretty poor.  But there's lots
more to life than defending yourself from being picked on and pulled apart!

Sweet Weasels of Atlanta!!!

(Isn't that ingenious? I just made that up off the top of my head!) Anyway, just got done dealing with the wrath of a near two year old having a tantrum. I was trying to get him dressed, and I guess my ideas conflicted with his wishes. There's nothing like having a screaming little boy clawing at you, and kicking while you try to lay him down on the changing table. I ended up having to lay him on the floor and leave him there with absolutely nothing on because he wouldn't even let me put a diaper on him. This was the second 30+ minute fit today...I don't know how many more of these I can deal with before the evening. Somtimes I wonder if I'm really supposed to be doing this job....

Oh! I would write more, but the little monster's awake again. Maybe we can have a peaceful couple of hours or so. Hopefully his mother will stay out of the way! I will write more later!

So I forced myself to leave the house today. It took me awhile to unearth my car underneath the snow and ice, but I did it. I borrowed an ice scraper and some gloves (I had to buy some today because I always lose the pair I used the year before) from Sydney and Tim, and hiked out there to rediscover good ole Cassidy. It made me very cheerful when my feet sank in the snow, there really is about six inches out there! I thought Tim was just being whiny and exaggerating! The snow accumulation is from two snowfalls a few days apart, but I didn't realize there was that much! It's finally December! So yes my car did start, and after about ten minutes of scraping through a sheet of ice, and brushing the powdery stuff off my windshield I was off. I only went to Sonic for lunch (mmm Sonic!), Hallmark, and Wal Mart, but considering it's been about five days since I've been outside, that was tiring enough for me.

I have reaffirmed my hatred for Wal Mart at Christmastime. (Actually Wal Mart at anytime is quite annoying) I think the entire town of Leavenworth was there. Actually it wasn't THAT bad, but it was crowded enough, and I was getting kind of irritated with the parents who were letting their four year olds push the carts by themselves, and not paying any attention to them as they plowed into people and store displays. Then there were the teenagers hovering by the car stereo section (which I didn't even know existed at the store) and turning the volume up as loud as it would go so that that entire half of the store was blessed with the sounds of P Diddy or whoever it was on the station they were listening to. I did get out of there with most of what I went in there for though. I bought shiny blue wrapping paper because it was not red or green. So that's what I'm wrapping the presents that go to the people in this house with. I'll have to buy more when I get home since I can't take wrapped packages on the plane, and I don't want to try to fit the paper roll in a bag.

My goodness why in the world am I writing about Wal Mart and wrapping paper...I'm so boring. I think I'm just really tired. Maybe I'll go have a nap, and enjoy the fact that I have about 16 hours until I begin another work week. It is the last one before I leave though!! Woo hoo!

If ever I have been absolutely crazy bored, it's tonight. Well at least it feels that way. I want to get in my car and go somewhere, but it's buried under six inches of snow (yes snow!!! ) , and I just don't feel like going out in the cold right now. I'm not even sure the sad little vehicle will start, I haven't driven in a few days due to being ill.

I've tried calling a few people, but no-one's home because everyone else has lives. I need to find something to do. There has to be something...

Sick, sick, sick! That is my current status...I think I just have a nasty cold, but I did think I had the flu at one point today. I've been miserable, and it sucks...okay I'm done whining now!

I get to go home in nine days! Yes I know I was just home less than two weeks ago, but I'm very excited about going again. I'm not so excited about living in our overcrowded house, but seeing family and friends will make up for that. I am flying this time, since the train was a trifle inconvenient for my employers who had to pick me up. It was a half hour late and I had to wait another half hour for baggage. Really that doesn't sound all that horrible, but when it's 11:45 by the time you're able to leave the station, and you live 45 minutes away, and you have to get up before 6am...it just isn't practical. So I'm flying which will take about four hours total (layover included) instead of 16, and believe it or not, I think Detroit Metro is more exciting than Union Station in Chicago. Granted if I were brave enough to leave the station I would find more to do than I would find at Metro which is basically in the middle of a field, but the airport itself has more to do. But there won't be any interesting Amish/Mennonite people to look at...they're always on the train, every train trip I've taken...kind of interesting.

We got our first "major" snow of the season this week! Words cannot express how excited I am! It's only three inches, but three inches is more than zero!!! It was kind of nuts because we were having heavy thunderstorms that day, and then we got the snow overnight...and I thought Ohio weather was crazy! I think it even thundered a little while it was snowing...silly Kansas and Missouri weather. So everything is pretty now, and it finally looks like December, and it should stay that way for awhile. I've also been informed that I will see lots of snow come January and February, because that's how it works here...fine with me.

Well I need to go to bed. I am determined to be healthy by morning, so I can work. I had to take part of today off because I was in so much pain, and I just couldn't do my job. I don't really feel all that bad about that since Sydney is still home, and should be able to handle both Jimmy and Molly, and I really didn't feel bad once Tim got home. I still got a bit of an air that I was dissappointing them...but oh well. Their children should not be around me right now, if they get sick it could be a lot worse for them. So anyway, must get better by tomorrow. Good night!

Okay, if anyone out there can tell me why in the world I saw sparkling deoderant yesterday I would love to know. Why would someone buy that? So what if your armpits sparkle, does anyone really want to see or know that...I don't think so! I can understand sparkling lotion, shower gel, hairspray, nail polish...but deoderant???? Some things never cease to amaze me.

I went to an SCA meeting last night, it was so much fun. These people are nuts, but I like them, and want to be one of them. They're very accepting, genuine, fun people, I could have walked in there with plaid hair, multiple piercings, and stark naked, and they wouldn't have batted an eyelash...not that I'm ever going to do that by the way! And they're going to teach me how to sew and make garb!! THAT is exciting! I can see it now, along with my knitting escapades ( which i haven't really done much of) I will be sewing like a maniac, and make myself an entire wardrobe of medieval garb! Woo hoo! The things that make me happy...amazing!
